Soil Field Trips Around NSW

NSWSKN_cowra_2_SallyMcInnes-Clarke_OEH_2Field trips are a fantastic way to develop and improve our understanding of soils and landscapes.

Everyone should get out every now and then.  If we spend too much time in the office or the study – then we are in danger of becoming ‘carpet scientists’ instead of soil scientists!

This page is a place to share the field trips the SKN members love or have been on.

Please note that these trips may include sites on private land and you may need permission to enter.

The next four tours come from the National Soil Conference which was held in Canberra 18-23 November 2018.  NSW SKN members assisted with the Winery tour and the Young horticultural soils.  Thank you to the conference committee for giving us permission to share these field trips.

If you have a field trip you would like to share, with a map and notes, please send an email to sally.mcinnesclarke@environment.nsw.gov.au
